William Reginald Francis (Bill) Scott of Cloyne, Margaret and Anson's youngest, writes the following concerning this page dedicated to his Mother::
I wonder what my Mom would have thought about having a website dedicated to her and her family...one that eventually all of the world will be able to see. Back when she was growing up in the depression, and during the war, it would be mind boggling...unthinkable!
Mom was always willing to learn, and try new things, though. I know that space exploration interested and amazed her, in that, her life had spanned all the years of change, so that she had witnessed flight from it's infancy to the space age. She loved to travel, when she was able, especially to visit Lynda in BC. As opposed to my Father, who was strictly a meat and potatoes man, Mom enjoyed trying exotic foods: she was willing to try anything new. She also loved her Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. She would sit in front of the TV urging Joe Carter on.
I never knew my Aunt Margaret. I, regretfully, wished I could have because I am sure she enriched the lives of everyone she met. This web page is a loving memorial to and from everyone who knew her, and a living picture to her Grandchildren who didn't get to know her very well, and nieces, nephews like myself who wished we could have. I like to think she would have been pleased..........M.Ehret
