Welcome To Crochet For The Lord
You may be wondering how you "Crochet for the Lord" Well, I will tell you!
1. There are many homeless who don't have warm hats, mittens, or scarves.
2. Many hospitals are in need of newborn hats and blankets. Especially for premies.
Your church may already have a program in progress for this very thing. If not, why don't YOU get one started by contacting a few of the gals and guys. Yes, I said "guys" !
My Dad loved to crochet!
"To show great love for God and our neighbor we need not do great things. It is how much love we put in the doing that makes our offering Something Beautiful for God."

Newborns in Need Crocheted afghans, hats and toys are the most-needed items for Newborns in Need, a charity devoted to "providing essentials for infants whose mothers literally have nothing." Newborn babies are going home from the hospital in just a disposable diaper, not even a receiving blanket, and sometimes their "home" is a shelter for battered women or the homeless.

Happy Hats for Kids This charity was founded in 1991 for Sheri Schrier after she lost 3 family members to cancer, and was inspired to try to bring some cheer into the lives of children who had suffered hair loss due to chemotherapy. In 1993, the mission expanded to giving Happy Hats to children with AIDS, and to all children in hospitals and their siblings.
Volunteers are called Happy Hatters and there are now more than 1000 of them who have made more than 50,000 Happy Hats. Groups are asked to adopt a local hospital, and to commit to making Happy Hats for four holiday "hat giving parties" for Easter, Fourth of July, Halloween, and Christmas/Hannukah for all children in the pediatric unit.
The Happy Hats for Kids organization supplies patterns, materials, guidance, technical and administrative support:
