The Friends of the U.S. Second Infantry Division are a group of folks who are interested in events that happened during world war two, especially in events that happened to the U.S. Second Infantry Division fighting in the European Theatre of Operations (ETO). These men saved the world. And it is to these men that this website is dedicated with our appreciation. But you do not have to be a veteran of World War II to join us. Many of us are friends and relatives of a World War II 2nd Div. vet. Or you just may have an interest in that war. You are welcome to join us. You can become a member by joining our online discussion website dedicated to the 2nd Div. vets of WWII. Membership is free and you can find our site thru the link below.

Note: If you like war stories then I recommend you click on our link near the bottom of this page. Also, we have an active web site where info and discussions take place at yahoogroups.com. You may be a combat veteran of WWII or a relative of a man who was one. You are most welcome to share, ask questions, and participate with others. All I ask is that you do not hurt or embarrass someone else. A lot of veterans still carry a deep wound and reliving the pain of those days is like ripping a scab off of a healing wound. They went through a lot for our sakes on the battlefield and we owe each one a great debt for his courage, self sacrifice, and willingness to lay down his life on our behalf.

I am asking that we treat each vet with the dignity he deserves. However, I also understand that some subjects and war stories may be brutal and they must be told in all factual detail so I guess there has to be a balance here that has to be kept so I ask each one who replies to respect these boundaries.

It's a message board kind of site where you can ask questions and submit inquiries. Many members there have written books that might be helpful to you and they can advise you as to the titles, price, and availability. This is the place to submit your query. Our guest book below is not a good place to submit your query because most of the traffic is at our Yahoo groups site instead.
